About us


Experience combined with fresh new thinking
Our versatile backgrounds and yet shared knowledge are what enable us to create effective online and offline solutions – and, of course, combine the two media into powerful integrated solutions.

In our high-ceiled brightly lit premises way up in the sky on Vermundsgade 40 A in Copenhagen we initiate dialogs with your customers – always based on their individual needs. The team offers fresh creative thinking and strategic expertise, every Gekkoist with a solid background from other agencies or customers.

To full-service our customers we occasionally join forces with some of our more technically oriented fellow agencies, such as:

  • Responsfabrikken (SMS-based solutions, competitions, etc.)

Gekko's background
The CEO and founder, Finn Overgaard, was also CEO and founder of the dialog agency Generator, elected "Growth Company of the Year" three years in succession and winning several national and international prizes in the course of a relatively short period. In 2000, Generator merged with the DDB-owned web agency e-scape. Working for 18 months as CEO for the result of the merger, Tribal DDB, Overgaard left the DDB Group to start Gekko.

Vast expertise within dialog and CRM
Overgaard, five times a judge at the DMA ECHO Awards, has almost 20 years experience working with customer relations programs in both Denmark, Norway and Sweden and has held positions at agencies like Action and Sepia, not to mention engagements with customers such as Unibank (as Direct Marketing Manager) and Gigtforeningen (with responsibility for members and fundraising for research).

Our aim and culture
We want to develop an updated version of Generator – an agency that develops result-creating customer relations programs across several media. In addition, we will create a workplace where people thrive in a warm atmosphere of humorous amusement and mutual respect – and strive for doing what they do best, just better. Every time.

2006:
DMA ECHO Awards 2006 in San Francisco, USA:
  • A Silver Award for the win back activity ”U-Turn” for Statoil Retail
  • A Bronze Award for the lead generating campaign ”Dirt Crusher”, also for Statoil Retail.
  • A Leader Award (4th place) for the lead generating campaign ”Risk Management” for Deloitte
  • A Leader Award (4th place) for the dialog programme ”Share Your Care” for Coloplast, Spain
2005:
DMA ECHO Awards 2005 i Atlanta, Georgia i USA:
  • A Silver Award for the B-t-B campaign "Trivial Pursuit" for Citrix Systems
  • A Bronze Award for the dialog "Smertedialogen" for Janssen-Cilag
2004:
